In student teams, I have witnessed this type of misunderstanding quite often, especially when the students come from different educational backgrounds. Some students voice their thoughts freely and thereby intimidate others who contribute less or not at all, due to a fear of making a mistake. This is a misconception, as the louder students might not always be right in what they are saying, despite their confidence ;)
In any team, the group effort and success should always be the first concern, and therefore everyone’s input and opinion is needed. It is necessary to create an atmosphere of trust by discussing problems and offering solutions, without making fun or belittling members of the team
