Event Summary:
On the 22nd and 23rd of November 2022, the academic club hosted a two-day docker workshop “Dock Your Docker” led by Damanpreet Singh Walia. A two-day workshop that lasted two hours each day from 17:00 to 19:00.
There were 30 Participants in the workshop who got hands-on experience with the basics of docker and Linux. The event started with a welcome speech of Govind Shukla (Asst. Student Lead of Academic Club).
Following this, the basics of Linux and its various commands were introduced to participants. It provided them hands-on experience with the Linux system. Towards the end of the first day, participants were given a task to complete in order to pass the day 1 of the workshop.
Next day, the workshop started with the queries discussion of the previous task, followed by basics of Docker. It introduced them to creating an image in docker, writing a docker file and running it in a container.
Towards the end, a hands-on task was given to participants and its solution was discussed.
The workshop came to an end with the closing speech of Taruna Tiwari (Student Lead of Academic Club).
The event was finally concluded with the distribution of the certificates of participation of the workshop.
