Plagiarism

What I got from the comic is that shortcuts don't help. If you are supposed to do some task which involves some research work , then do it in a correct way by reading the reference materials and deducing information from it and then noting it down along with your own suggestions, if any. If you take shortcuts and just try to copy from someone else's research then the person should be punished, no matter what intentions were originally there, and strict actions should be taken so that the person won't repeat it again.
I have experienced it during my ppsw assignment where I wrote the whole paper on my own, but since I was running out of time I copied few sentences from other research paper. And as a result I got failed in that assignment. From that I have learnt that I should never copy someone else's work as it is not fair for the efforts of the other person.

Plagiarism can be simply put as the act of stealing someone’s idea and making it yours, this can be intentional or unintentional. Unintentional in the sense that, you did an improper or lackadaisical documentation. You should be aware that in both cases mentioned above, you will be held accountable as this is not trivial in any manner, and in Germany and even in our university, there are laws set in place to punish erring members(students and Faculty members alike). Scientists spend considerable amount of time working on these papers and, diligence permits, you properly cite these papers at very instant. Beware that every writing you submit will be checked for plagiarism and if you have plagiarised, you must certainly just inserted a key to a door that might lead to your deregistration.

Plagiarism check involves the use of software, but is more than that. A teacher can recognize plagiarism in the text, even if the software is fooled through rewriting. So, use your energy to develop your own ideas instead.

Plagiarism is a severe form of scientific misconduct. Plagiarism happens when a person steals or (in the case of this comic) copy-pastes work without giving proper credit to the original author. At FIN and OVGU in general we do not tolerate plagiarism. As illustrated in the comic, the examination office keeps a record of the students who plagiarize. Repeat offenders face failure in the courses or as a ast consequence exmatriculation.
